HAPPY 28th, SIS!

Posted by Kien Ignacio

Happy 28th, Sis.

Weeh! Ang tanda mo na my gawd! walang! I just miss you so much.

Haaay! Congratulations sa success mo ngayon. Do well on your job. I know you don't settle for mediocrity, so pretty soon you'll be promoted... again. hehe!

This is going to be a little dramatic. Hehe!

One thing people must know about my sister Michelle Isidro Ignacio is that she's my inspiration. All that I am now, a major part of it was influenced by her.

People often notice that we're so similar in a lot of things -- our attitude, mentality, beliefs, and a lot more.

I'm not sure if I would be the person I am now if I didn't have her as my sister.

My sister taught me (through example) to be strong. She has experienced almost everything a person possibly can. (You know what I mean, need not to elaborate on that).

She taught me not to settle for anything less, anything of the ordinary.

I miss those times when all we did were talk about our experience, pig out together, and give good pieces of advice to each other.

I miss you. You may be miles away, but my heart is with you always. (ewan! haha! bsta ma-emphasize lang ung distance!)

Ayun! I MISS YOU SO MUCH!

Pupunta din kami jan sa cebu... wait ka lang. hehe.

rants of an undecided blogger

Posted by Kien Ignacio

Funny that I find a hard time updating my blog. I'm so jealous of how my sister's blog justanotherpixel.net is doing pretty well. Come to think of it, I was the one very serious about setting up a blog months ago.

However, priorities change and schedules get really hectic. I still have work and boy, is it draining!

I get up early so I could go to the office on time, and more often than not, I end up having to do an overtime because of the workload that needs to be done that day.

After work, I go home then straight to bed. There's no time for mingling, eating, or even chatting with friends 'cause I'm so tired and I have to wake up early the next day.

Yes, all you hear from me are all my rants about my work here in the office and all, but at least I'm happy with how I'm being paid. I'm not sure if I'm getting what's worth of my hard work, but working for one pay day (that's around 9 - 11 days of work) I could earn ranging from Php. 5,000 - 8,000.

Not bad, isn't it?

But I'm looking forward to quitting this job soon. I know there are a lot of opportunities for me out there. I've got a lot of tricks under my sleeves which I know I can use to earn money (I hope blogging's one of it.).

Before the end of this year, I would finally come to a decision of what I'm going to do with my blog. I want to be different, not your ordinary money-making blogger. I want money-making just a secondary reason for blogging.

I have a lot to learn, and I'm looking forward to having a conversation with my sis so that she could guide on how I could go about this blogging.

Fruits of my LABOR

Posted by Kien Ignacio

Nothing can be more rewarding than being able to buy almost everything that you want with your OWN MONEY.

As a 3rd year student, my schedule is understandably hectic, but imagine me still being able to squeeze in going to the gym, and being a part-time employee into it.

I work at a transcription company. Nope, it's not medically related. It's general transcription, so it involves transcribing movies, seminars, some TV programs.

I'm the ONLY PART-TIME EMPLOYEE in our company. Call that lucky. Maybe it's not luck. It's more on the quality of my work perhaps. :D

My salary, I could say, is enough to suffice all my techie desires. I don't really have anything to spend my money on, so I try to drown my self with gadgets.

Thanks to my work I was able to buy:

Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digicam.
iPod Nano 2nd Generation (2gig)
Sony Ericsson K800i (3.2 mp CyberShot camera)
Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP)
Yes, I am happy, but not satisfied. Hehe! Watch out as my list of techie gadgets become longer on every payday. :D

There are a lot of things I still want to buy -- laptop, iPod touch, and many more! waah!

I'm so materialistic, I'm sorry. Hehe.

blogging trial and error phase

Posted by Kien Ignacio

I've been in the blogging scene for quite some time now, but I haven't really taken it seriously as other people already had.

Having heard that there's money in blogging, it got me really interested. Soon enough, I've been reading blogging tutorials and how to earn money through it.

Now that I have an idea of how things work out, all I need to do is find my own blogging identity.

What do I mean? I don't know either. Hehe.

Maybe what I'm trying to say is, I'm still trying to establish my own style of blogging. I want to be unique. Who wouldn't want to be, right?

I want to be sure that when I take blogging seriously, I'm really prepared. I don't want to end up like those lame bloggers that have nice web designs, yet their content sucks.

I'm a "petpeeve" as my sister's colleague called it. I get annoyed reading, hearing grammatical errors and mistakes in enunciations.

I'm not saying I'm perfect, but tell me, wouldn't you laugh when you hear people trying really hard to say their thoughts, but it's to no avail?

And I don't want that to happen to me either. I don't think I can bear hearing people criticize my writing capability. That might discourage me to pursue blogging anymore. Hehe! (Yeah, I can't take criticisms like a real sport.)

A few preparations I'm doing is studing English grammar for, like, the Nth time and trying to broaden my vocabulary by all means possible. :P

I admit, I'm not that talented in writing, but I know it doesn't really take rocket science to be recognized as a blogger. You just have to have your own style from which people could recognize you.

That is the hard thing. For the hundreds and thousands of bloggers out there, it's hard to be unique. But that would be the challenge that I have to face.

I'm confident. I will make good in this blogging-money-making industry. Hehe!

My fingers are crossed. mX (0_0) Xm --> (desperate attempt to make text-crossed fingers)
